The Cooke Agency International (Cooke International) was founded in 2009 by Dean Cooke and Sally Harding to provide services as foreign rights representatives for domestic publishers and agents. Under the day-to-day management of Suzanne Brandreth and Ron Eckel since its founding, the client list has grown to make Cooke International the largest foreign rights agency in Canada. In July 2016, Suzanne Brandreth and Ron Eckel acquired the company.  

Cooke International’s current client list includes ChiZine Publications, CookeMcDermid Agency, Penguin Random House Canada and its imprints (Appetite, Doubleday Canada, Knopf Random House Canada, McClelland & Stewart, Penguin Canada, and Tundra Books), Rick Broadhead & Associates, and Small Beer Press.
